At Yullin Community Church, missions are not just something we do — they are at the core of who we are. From our earliest days as a small fellowship in Burnaby, we have been passionate about carrying the Gospel beyond our church walls and into communities that need hope, love, and support.
Our name, "Yullin" (열린 — "Open"), extends to our mission philosophy. We believe in an open-hearted approach to missions: walking alongside local communities, building genuine relationships, and empowering indigenous leaders rather than imposing external solutions.
Over the years, Yullin Community Church has sent multiple mission teams to countries across Southeast Asia, where we partner with local churches and organizations to serve the most vulnerable — especially children, youth, and underserved communities.

Our teams support local church communities in Cambodia through children's programs, worship training, community development, and spiritual encouragement. We work alongside Cambodian church leaders to strengthen local congregations and serve families in rural areas.
In Myanmar, we partner with local Christian communities to provide spiritual support, children's education, and church development. Our teams have traveled to Myanmar to encourage pastors, train leaders, and share the Gospel in communities facing challenges.
As God opens doors, we continue to explore new mission opportunities across Asia and beyond. Our vision is to partner with communities wherever there is a need, bringing the message of hope and the practical love of Christ to every corner we can reach.
Our mission trips are carefully planned to maximize impact and create lasting change. We focus on empowering local communities rather than creating dependency, working hand-in-hand with indigenous leaders who understand the unique needs of their people.
Every year, Yullin Community Church organizes short-term mission trips for church members who want to experience missions firsthand. These trips are typically 1-2 weeks long and offer participants the opportunity to serve alongside local communities, teach children, lead worship, and witness God at work in powerful ways.
Our mission trips are open to church members of all ages and backgrounds. No prior mission experience is required — just a willing heart and a passion to serve. Pre-trip training, cultural orientation, and spiritual preparation are provided.
